The Chinese Centre for Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is Manchester's leading centre for contemporary art from China and the Chinese diaspora, presenting exhibitions, events and educational programmes that explore Chinese culture and contemporary practice.
The Brief
Whilst working at Music agency, I served as lead designer for CFCCA, creating design assets to support their exhibition and events programme. The centre needed consistent, high-quality promotional materials that reflected the contemporary nature of the work whilst being accessible to diverse audiences. Materials needed to work across both print and digital platforms and appeal to art enthusiasts, community members and cultural visitors.
The Solution
I designed gallery event leaflets and promotional materials for exhibitions and programmes, ensuring all assets adhered to CFCCA's brand guidelines. The designs balanced contemporary aesthetics with clarity of information, making events accessible and appealing to broad audiences.
Working closely with the CFCCA team, I created materials that supported their mission to present challenging contemporary art whilst maintaining welcoming, inclusive communications that reflected Manchester's diverse cultural community.
