Pine Banks Psychology is a private clinical psychology practice offering person-centred, evidence-based psychological therapy. The practice provides both in-person sessions in a peaceful rural clinic space in West Lancashire and online therapy nationwide.
The Brief
Lauren, a compassionate clinical psychologist with many years of experience, approached me to create a brand identity for her new part-time independent practice. The name Pine Banks was inspired by Sandbanks in Poole, Dorset, a place close to Lauren's heart, connecting the peaceful coastal landscape with the rural West Lancashire setting. The challenge was to develop a warm, approachable brand that would appeal to adults seeking private psychological therapy whilst communicating professionalism and expertise. The brand needed to feel peaceful and comforting without appearing overly clinical, reflecting both the tranquil practice location and Lauren's compassionate therapeutic approach.
The Solution
I created a calming, nature-inspired brand identity that weaves together the natural elements from both the name's coastal inspiration and the practice's rural surroundings. The design incorporates subtle references to pine trees alongside gentle nods to the peaceful landscape, creating a cohesive visual identity. The soothing colour palette promotes wellbeing whilst avoiding the sterile clinical tones often associated with healthcare, maintaining credibility and professionalism.
The visual language strikes the perfect balance between warmth and expertise, making potential clients feel comfortable reaching out for support whilst trusting in Lauren's qualifications and evidence-based approach.
